Is mobile grooming more expensive?

Yes, usually around $20-$25.00 more per pet.  For that extra money, you get the convenience of not making 2 trips to your local grooming shop and having to wait approximately 4 hours in between drop-off and pick-up time.  Your pet will also benefit from a less stressful environment with no barking dogs, no cages, and no wait time, with only me grooming your pet each and every time.

Do I have to be home for you to groom my dog?

For the first or second time, yes.  When both your pet and I feel comfortable with each other, we can make arrangments for grooming to be done without your presence.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Dogs like Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Pugs etc. every 2 to 3 months depending on the rate of shedding. If shedding is an issue, you may want to have them groomed more often.

Dogs that have longer or textured fur (Poodles, Cocker Spaniels, Shihtzus, etc. should be groomed every 4 to 8 weeks. This should be maintained to prevent mats from developing in the dog's coat. Once mats have developed, if they aren't attended to they will usually require shaving for removal. Sometimes this leads to having to shave down the dogs hair everywhere. More trips to the groomer prevents having to shave down a dog, allows the dog to become and remain accustomed to the grooming process, and reduces the stress on the dog during the grooming

You may want your dog to be groomed on a tighter schedule to keelp their cuts crisp.  Since I only have one mobile bus, you should try to "lock in" recurring appointments.

Do you need to plug into my electric or use my water?

No, My bus is a completely self-contained unit.  I have both warm fresh water and grey water tanks on board. I have a generator that provides for all of my electrical needs.  The unit is always climate controlled.
